Is a unique forum for art students and adult student artists

to donate a piece of art work for display, judging and sale (donation),

 the proceeds of which will be donated to

Heart of Texas Autism Network (HOTAN)

Categories

for

Submitted Art

A Mardi Gras Celebration of Art will award an overall First, Second, and Third place prizes for each of the following age categories:

  • Pre-K - K
  • Ages 5 - 7
  • Ages 8 - 10
  • Ages 11 – 13

Additionally, we will award prizes in each of the following art categories for ages 14 - 18; and 19 & up:

  • Drawing and Painting
  • Fiber-Art
  • Jewelry
  • Photography
  • Sculpture and Pottery

All student art
must be pre-registered by

February 1, 2012

Utilizing the Entry Form

Show-ready art work must be prepared according to the Art Submission Requirements listed below and delivered to

A Mardi Gras Celebration of Art

                    at the following times and locations:

    Wednesday February 15th from 10a.m.-5p.m. at

         811 Washington Ave. suite 405

         Waco, Tx. 76701

     Thursday February 16th from 10a.m.-5pm.                             at the Palladium

        729 Austin Ave. Waco TX 76701

    Entries are accepted on first come, first served basis with a limited number of spaces accepted for each age group.
  • Submit your registration form today--by February 1, 2012! You won't want to be left out of the fun!

Art Submission Requirements


                                  Students can be from all ages, Pre K to Adult. 


All submissions must be accompanied by an Artist Bio on a 3" X 5" card, secured to the back or underside, with the following information:

  • Name
  • Age, if less than 18 years old
  • Medium

 

Pre-k - 10 years all artwork entries should be no larger than 6x6 (for 3Dimensional 6x6x6)

 

For all High School and adult entries:

 

Drawing and Painting

All two dimensional entries will be hung "salon" style  

→All drawings and paintings should be matted or framed with a hanging apparatus.  Foam core board with a hanging apparatus attached to the reverse side is acceptable. 

→For those artists under 18, poster board, black or white, is also an acceptable mounting material.  Please attach a hanging loop on the back. 

→For those artists 10 and under, we will provide the display apparatus. 

 

Fiber Arts

Fiber Art pieces will be accepted in appropriate manner for display.  Please contact us if you have any questions on your display mode.


 

 Jewelry

Jewelry must be attached to an appropriate sized card stock or foam core board for your submission. 

 

Photography

All photography pieces must be matted (with a protective back), framed, or mounted on foam core board with a hanging apparatus attached to the reverse side for hanging on a wall.

Sculpture and Pottery

Sculpture and Pottery pieces will be displayed on our tables and must weigh less than 25 pounds.  Any other apparatus required will be provided by you and will become part of the donation

All parts of the donation will be retained by the Celebration and HOTAN, including display apparatus.

No part of submission will be returned to artist.
